Illegal Fishing
Illegal and destructive fishing methods, including dynamite and cyanide, destroy the corals. This calls the need to educate people (especially those considered big-time fishers who intrude the prohibited area from the shoreline) on the importance of the coastal environment to make marine preservation program successful as well as true commitments among lawmen to dispel public perception in their insincerity in enforcing the fishery law and its rules and regulations. This illegal activity poses a threat to the preservation of corals that are left to support marine life. Since security camera systems technology has not reached the vicinity of the sea, social awareness and total dedication is needed for a significant environmental protection and conservation efforts.
